Is It April Yet?!

Well, 2010 is finally here, and with this being my first entry of 2010 I wanted to share a preliminary schedule for games I plan on attending this season.

My friend Dirk and I purchased a mini plan through the Rangers’ website this past weekend that guarantees us 16 games. Along with the games, we also get two season ticket holder ID cards that we can use to get in the stadium 30 minutes earlier than everyone else! (That’s what I’m most excited about!)

Here’s the schedule for our 16 games:

The seats we purchased are in the upper deck on the first base side, which isn’t the best place to watch the game, but for $50 a seat for 16 games we figured we could live with that. Especially, since we seem to find ourselves “roaming” most games anyway.

Needless to say, I’m more than anxious for baseball season to start!

In other baseball news, I plan on taking my daughter, Sarah, to FanFest at the ballpark on Saturday 1/30. That’s another thing that will get the baseball juices flowing early! We will get to run the bases, shag flies in the outfield, tour the locker rooms, go in the dugouts, etc. We went last year and it was a blast! I’m really looking forward to it, and yes there will be a full report.

I also plan on attending an exhibition game at the ballpark on Friday 4/2 against the Royals. I’ve never been to an exhibition game before, so this will be a new experience.

What a great feeling to finally have some baseball stuff to write about! I’m curious to know what others already have planned. Let me know.
